Santa was very good to me this year - this showed up in my garage on Christmas eve. I had no idea it was coming. I had mentioned to my wife and best mate that i was interested in buying it but didn't end up going any further with it. Anyway, between the two of them they managed to keep it a secret. :o
Hey Nathan Well done, that is the exact color and model I had. They are a great machine and I loved the sound of that 90degree V Twin. Mine had a Roo Racing carbon fiber pipe which gave it a sweet sound. Feel certain you will get some great mileage out of it. I passed mine on to Chris when I bought the Blackbird and he got some good use of it. Should you run into any issues with, let us know as we have some history with that model. One thing I bought for mine was some mirror extenders as I couldn't see a thing behind me. Cost about $40.00 on ebay in America. Very comfortable bike also. As always mate, enjoy the ride and happy new year. Phil
Thanks Phil. It is in fantastic condition for a 2000 model with 47000kms on it. I am extremely happy with it. My mate rode it back from the gold coast and said he was very reluctant to hand it over. He said the riding postion was very comfortable, not tiring at all. They had Mike from CMC check it over as well and he said it is an absolute cracker of a bike. Only needed a set of new front wheel bearings. Can't wait to get some decent rides under my belt with it. So there will be a GPX250 up for sale very soon!
Thanks Bob. I was hoping to bring it out on the Mt Mee ride but can't make that one. Can't wait to do some decent rides with it.
started polishing up the exhaust pipe and it is coming up a treat. In fact so good i have started doing all the shiny bits on the poor old GPX. Thanks for the tip Phil. :occasion14:
Hey Nat { Warning, polishing the chrome bits on your bike can be addictive!!! } But what a difference, a little elbow grease goes a long way. Pleased it worked out OK, LOVE THE LOOK OF POLISHED CHROME. Phil
