Hey Guys Selling this in behalf of a club member. 1980 Yamaha RX125 2 stroke. It runs - that's the main thing as we've had it push started. This was one we were going to restore but circumstances are not conducive to that as he wants to put more money into the XS250 we got at the same time so one has to go unfortunately. i'd love to keep it myself but I have project bikes coming out of my ears so I will bite my nuckles and wave goodbye. It will need a few bits and pieces, a speedo, front left indicator cover, kick start, front brake lever. The front fender is bent up so it will need straightening, seat reupholster, then there's rechroming etc to do as you would think for a bike of this age. The fuel tap leaks but I think that's easily enough fixed. With all that said it's pretty original, all covers are there etc and have the original key. May be able to help with transport if necessary. $750 ONO. @Frankster don't know if you'd be interested but I thought I'd tag you in just in case More photos here: https://www.2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/the-yamaha-friends.9207/ it's in the same condition as it hasn't really moved in a couple months.
Carby cleaned, was pretty clear apart from the main jet. Surprised me. Also looked at the oil in both the engine (gear oil) and self mixing tank - looks good. Fuel tap cleaned (was full of gunk on the filter) and checked the plug - also good. Someone's going to get a steal, this bike is aged cosmetically but mechanically it looks very good.
