The OEM float valve seat, 16030-1069, and o-ring, 92055-1425, are different to the Keyster part. The Keyster has a smaller o-ring groove diameter to accept a thicker, over the counter size o-ring. Both of them seem to have been designed to allow for a significant amount of shrinkage, so much so that they are too thick to comply with normal compression allowances for static application. Well to be more accurate, the o-ring groove, at 1.6mm, is too narrow. The Keyster parts are a much more acceptable fit than the OEM. Coming in at a minimum recommended groove width of 1.83mm so is only 0.23 under. Wheres the OEM should have a 2mm groove height and is therefore 0.4mm too narrow. Don't even attempt to fit these without silicone/rubber grease. I have measured everything and played around with fitting them in a carb body I am going to do some more tests over the next 6 weeks and will post more when I get the results. This is the OEM part. It has '2.4' and the Keihin star on the top. This is the Keyster replacement part and the only marking is the '2.4' on the side.
If you're playing around with ZXR carbs, I'd be interested to know what you think about the removability of many of the brass components which either cover jets below or are the jets themselves, emulsion tube is one which fascinates me specifically
Emulsion tune in Keihins is a pressed in brass insert into the carb body. I have not removed one but I believe they can be replaced. Air jets and the like I haven't removed either.
Yeah I've had a quick look at them, agree they look pressed in, just have been reluctant to take a hammer to anything, especially soft brass and aluminium
