Hi guys new to the forum,i have a megelli 250r i got for next to nothing and in the process of fixing it up for my lams bike i was hoping someone can help me identify the year model i believe its a 2010 but not sure.I know its a **** bike and all that so you can save your breath thanks.
Welcome. Why do you say it is a sh*t bike? I think they look good, just need a few tweeks to get them reliable.
Just from what iv read they seem to have alot of problems and the parts are hard to find.cant really judge myself is the only road bike i have ridden.
I have googled this sticker and came up with 2012 still not 100% sure. how different could the parts vary across the models i have contacted sinh at motorsportimportors to get service parts most importantly a rear brake rotor.
Its a 2010 liquid cooled managed to find a 2011 wrecking do you think rotors from 2011 will fit the 2010 i really cant see why they would not Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
Anybody know the correct postion for the fuel tap when its in the position shown in the photo it runs but is hard to start when its in the upright position i get fuel leaking from the carby thanks
Is it leaking from the overflow tube on the bottom of the fuel bowl ? If so the needle and seat might be leaking, or have dirt etc in it causing it to overflow out the carby The fuel hose may have been shortened due to it leaking and they had to turn the fuel tap the other way? Fuel tap look's like a generic china pit bike tap, straight down is on and to the side is off (like in your picture) There are some tap's that style with a reserve option too
originally when the bikes were imported they had a vacuum operated fuel tap.the importer replaced them with a simple on /off due to problems and blanked off the vacuum tube. buy a cheap chinese tap and clean the carby and all should be well.
Any body know where you can get custom rotors made online cant find a new one anywhere im all out of ideas
Yes it is does need a clean i will also change the tap to a better one Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

Depends on where you are... https://www.facebook.com/DnACustomCycles/ Darren is someone who will make the required adaptors etc to get a more readily available disc to fit... His work is amazing...
