Hi all, i’ve been looking a lot for any new information on fork upgrades for fizzers. A lot of posts about looking into getting springs made by aussie companies and whether or not 400 springs would works etc. Would like to hear anything new in regards to this topic and how people went with their upgrades be it new springs being made, 400 springs, front end swaps or anything to do with bettering the front end of your fizzers. I have an ‘86 2kr work scooter and a 3ln3 I’m planing on either making track bike or making really nice fun weekend bike. Already have R6R shocks and have a full ZXR USD front end but hoping to hear some better upgrades like 400 race tech spring upgrades or anything new. Looking forward to all your replies as I really love my fizzers, and many thanks in advance.
If you have a ZXR250 front end, then yes upgraded springs, try ZXR400 springs, and as for other internals, racetech gold valve emulators
The original cartridge emulators named debrix seem to have disappeared, they are Race Tech copies, they are however still available on the Mike XS site - a group buy would cut down on the shipping costs. https://www.mikesxs.net/yamaha-xs650-damper-valve-pr-front-forks-77-84-oem-1t3-23170-00-00.html
Has anyone used them yet, and did they make a noticeable difference ? Cause if they do a good job I'd be interested in joining in a group buy.
