    Hi guys,

I'm still fairly new to riding and have only had my licence about 2yrs now.

Last year after 9 months of having our licences my girlfriend and I purchased 2 DR650s and spent 6 months riding 25000kms through Canada, USA and Mexico. 95% of this time was spent camping.

Anyway we eventually started to run out of money so we stored the bikes in Mexico and flew back to Perth to save some money.

We've been back in Perth about 9months now and have only just got a bike again.

Originally I wanted to find a project that I could cut up and turn into a cafe racer, however the more I look at this bike the less I want to make drastic changes to it.

The new plan will be a basic tidy up and make it a little bit more modern in regards to the lighting system.
It also has a small oil leak and the brakes are terrible so these will be the first priority.

Look forward to joining your community, I assume there is a few people from Perth in here somewhere.

    Welcome to the forum.
That's a good shot of the DR's, is that a bit of light painting ?
Hope you drained the fuel bowl's before putting them into storage though

Yep, we had a fire behind the tent for the orange glow and then a quick bit of light from my headlamp.

Bikes have been put away properly with fuel stabilizer ran through the last tank, float bowls drained etc. Not really sure when we'll get back so hopefully they'll be ok.

Welcome to the forum. I've owned a couple of GSX250's. They're a lovely bike as they are. Easy to ride and have a nice sound. It's your bike, but I agree with @Murdo, restore it and ride it.
