Help Fuel tap

    When installing the fuel tap I noticed the threaded hole in the tank is not a blind hole, do any of you gents use anything in particular to seal this thread when installing the bolts?

    Thanks, it just says plain washer. I am concerned about fuel leaking through the bolt threads.

    What did your's have there when you pulled it apart?
    I've never seen any thread sealant used on the bolt thread's ?
    The Kawasaki one's look like they're made of nylon ?

    Gasket sealer or similar would be fine on the threads.

    In the past I've used Loctite 567 thread sealant. It's good stuff.

    Thanks for the replies, I ended up using Loctite No.3 on the threads and I found some fibre washers at work to put on the bolts.
