Guys I’ve found an abandoned bike and it’s in bad shape, been down the road, no ign barrel , levers snapped etc sitting in a industrial carpark! so I took some pictures and ran a rego and ppsr check, anyways it’s not rego, nor is it stolen or written off next question is how does one get “salvage rights to this” it’s been sitting here for months
...next question is how does one get “salvage rights to this”? I would suggest quietly and preferably under the cover of darkness.
I don’t think it that easy , I’d report it the cops and let them contact the owner , let the cops know you are interested in it and ask to pass on your number if you take it and it is reported stolen, then you are going to be in ****
What bike is it exactly? Put up a photo of it alot of bikes belong in the skip bin before they even leave the dealers showroom
So I contacted the police about it and made an enquiry, they were fine about it and couldn’t obvs tell me the owners details they did however tell me it was in a police incident last year with the current owner the bike is unreg atm and sitting in public place in bad shape I’m gonna leave a note on the bike and see what comes from there moreover if the bike is still there in a month I’ll contact police again and see what they say just wanna do the right thing by the law etc but the bike is a 2008 triumph 675 daytona
I could be wrong on this, BUT there may be facility with Transport QLD or whatever they're called to get the contact details of the owner, obviously you'll have to identify yourself and provide a legitimate reason for that contact. For example, councils have to go through the same process to contact owners of unregistered vehicles before removing them from the street and impounding them then selling them off. I'm suprised that given it was involved in a Police incident that they haven't moved it into a Police impound for safe keeping - that obviously doesn't help you if they had done that. I hope that the owner is OK - Police incident has so many possible meanings EDIT - if it's parked on private property, the industrial park, then the proprietors/owners of the industrial park will have legitimate reason to obtain the owners contact details if that pathway is at all possible
The owner is most likely in jail .... would explain why the bike has just been left Most likely the local crack dealer making a run for it and crashed
Certainly wouldnt be a kilo of coke ..... a packet of Winnie blues is about all u would fit under a Daytona seat the only space there is for a power commander or some such extra actually
Why 11? One for each foot, if you're going to ride them like a stuntman on rollerblades, and if you're going to ride quadruped style one for each hand also. So four for the stunt session, they're trashed and thereafter one for each day of the week?
Sounds like my 900 hornet. If I shop carefully, I can fit 2 tacos with salsa under the seat. Could probably fit kilos in the "frame" of that thing though, just takes a bit of work to expose it.
Street price for a kilo of coke is $190,000 , once you pay off the cops and commissions to the dealers , you should end up with 120-130k , 11 Daytona’s is pretty much on the mark once you buy a gold chain and a riced up civic Perhaps I have said too much
I can see it now, men on street corners clad in trench coats sporting dark glasses, you come into earshot, suddenly "PSST - hey mister, you wanna taco, perhaps a burrito, or even a chipotle, I even got the 'mole and can have the tabasco if you wanna get real hot"
