    Hi everyone!

Here's the background. My 21yo bought a '99 FZX250 Zeal sight-unseen off Facebook Marketplace. The guy he bought the bike off had been modifying it to be a 'cafe racer' and did some weird stuff - like cut the back section of the frame off, chucked all the fairings away, welded weird brackets to the frame, and other generally oddball things. In short, it's a bit challenging.

Which brings me to now. I just joined today and already the technical info on this site is worth its weight in gold! And I have MANY stupid questions. :-D

    Cheers,
    Duncan

Welcome, you've definitely come to a great place to find information. I'm going to go Premium when I get too far over my head. Probably be next week. :headbang:
Learn the chassis and year and that's a good starting point.

    Greetings & Salutations!!!

I've restored many frames such as yours by welding rear-end of frame back on. Then getting some proper bodywork.
