I think I'll go to that. The Maritime Centre is worth a look even without the VJMC event.

Classic & Vintage Motorcycle Show & Shine - Victorian Maritime Museum.

As threatened, I made my way down to Crib Point today to checkout and support the VJMC's Show & Shine. I had my sausage, put some local currency into the donation box and had a good look around. I'm sure Peter ( @jmw76 ) will have many more photos and the results of the Show & Shine winners when he posts (I left early). Peter was working (volunteering) for the VJMC on the day, so I only had a short chat with him.

Plenty of bikes in attendance including a bunch of HD's and a large contingent of Vespas too.

I guess this is the Pink Lady but in a banana flavour as opposed to musk?

    Frank, thanks for the prod.
The VJMC Bikes & Boats Show & Shine turned out pretty well. Fairly slow to get started and it was all done and dusted before 2pm.
Lots of interesting bikes on display. 2 x RC30s + 1 x RC45 on display. If you had a spare $80k in your pocket, you could go home with the RC45. Ouch!!!!!!! An old BSA Bantam took out the tiddlers prize. A nice example too. There were well over 200 bikes in attendance (170 registered for the Show & Shine).
The Henderson was a great bit of machinery to see. It looked good and sounded good. 4 cylinder in-line engine. Single contracting drum brake on the rear. The speedo goes to 80mph. Wow that would be exciting to attempt to stop at that speed.
The Henderson snatched the peoples choice vote.

A contingent of Vespa owners blew through as part of their Sunday ride. Started with breakfast in Mornington, on to the VJMC event at Crib Point then off to finish at a nice little winery in Merricks. There would have been 20+ Vespas in attendance.

I will post a few more pics later.

    Peter.

I ran into them (not literally) on my way to the Show & Shine. They were well organised with a spotter and tail plus a vehicle. A few of them were giving it the business on the twisty bits. It's funny watching all those scooters with their top boxes pegging it and having a good time. Good on them.
