Round 1 - Pirelli Southern Downs Road Race Championship 15-16 March

    The Motorcycle Sportsmen of Queensland Present:

    Round 1 of the 2014 Pirelli Southern Downs Road Race Championship featurning the Queensland Road Race Series will be held at Morgan Park Raceway in Warwick, on March 15th and 16th. For the Superbike and Supersport classes, the weekend will see riders contest the first of 2 rounds of the Pirelli Queensland Road Race Championship. Adding to the excitement are junior road racers showing their talents as they take to the track for round 3 of the MRRDA series. The MDDRA is a hotbed for junior racing talent, and winners of the series are crowned Australian Champion!

    Classes @ Round 1
    • Superbike
    • Supersport
    • Moto3/125GP
    • 250 Production
    • Juniors (150cc 4 stroke, 70cc & 85cc 2 stroke)
    • Supermoto
    • Formula 3 (400cc 4 cylinder, 650cc 2 cylinder & 250cc 2 stroke production)
    • Formula 4 (Up to 499cc made before the year 1995)
    • Formula 6 (500cc-1300cc made before the year 2000)
    • Sidecars
    • Rookies (First time racers on any machinery)

    Warwick is not some far away land and if you ride a motorcycle then it's a lovely ride out from Sunny Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast or Northern NSW.
    To get to Morgan Park Raceway check google maps can give you directions.

    There will be some excellent racing on show, and entry if free for spectators! You are welcome to walk around the pits and talk to the racers. The track also has a canteen on site with bacon and egg rolls, burgers and drinks etc.

    If you feel you have what it takes to get up close to the action we are looking for flag marshals - training is provided.

    So come out and make a weekend of it. So come to Warwick for St Paddys weekend and enjoy some motorcycle racing!

    109 riders.
    136 entries.
    16 250's most of them Honda CBR250RR's, that is the largest 250 production grid for years!

    It's going to be massive. Also 19 supermoto's, they always put on a show!
    Solid grids through the rest of the fields too.

    Guys, are you serious......... My wife is the greatest and is extremely supportive , we had something already planned for Sunday and I was waiting for confirmation that she could reschedule it.
