Got this freebie this morning. My mate was going to dump it!

Looks pretty sound at first inspection.
Some metal bashing, cleaning, rechroming and repaint is needed.
I have to ask my mate if the engine is OK. It has just over 6,000 miles on the clock.
Tank badges, one lever and two indicators seem to be the only things missing at the moment, but as ever, time will tell.

Should be heaps of fun to do, having learnt so much about techniques on the Lambretta.

It has ben mentioned though that there are more bikes in bits than bikes that run in the shed at the moment!

I reckon 2 runners and 3 projects is a happy ratio, until I find the next project!

I was also offered a Yam QT50 for $120 which needs a bit of work, but will decline as as Q U T as it is, not really worth the effort.

Does anyone else have one of these?

I have been doing some research and info is very hard to find.  I found a Yahoo based forum, but there is very little info.
Luckily I was given a factory service manual which is OK, but lacks detail.

As it has been standing for many years (and I want to get the engine vapour blasted) I am going to strip the engine to replace seals as I am guessing they will be shot.

Does anyone have the part numbers for all the seals and/or a source of OEM or decent aftermarket seals?

I have seen references to the labyrinth seal, which looks like it is a seal between the two chambers in the crankcase. Some mention Teflon and other materials that were not around in 1969.  The seal looks like a large metal collar and possibly with O rings around it to create the seal. Anyone know more than this? E.g. is it possible to just replace the O rings, if that is what they are?

    Richard
