What was the reason for wanting an older bike?
You know none of the import cbr's have original Kms right?
Iv ridden a fair few of these mc22s now and still own about 7 more and can't pick the difference in a 99 down to a 90.
Besides the older ones becoming harder to get and stay in gears.....
The older ones had lower gearing but I seriously don't feel any difference in them. I do feel that every bike is different in some ways but not due to the year models.
I know the carbs and ports are smaller but drivability is better iv found in the later ones....
Maybe I'm just getting old but power wise, the spread over all years iv had has been huge and year models and carb sizes haven't been the biggest thing to cause the variance.
I don't mind if you don't buy mine, but don't be turned off by the "on paper there worse" junk.
Remember the imports only came here coz they were crashed or thrashed the life out if them in Japan.
