Hi team - I have not stripped the bike down to investigate the leak. The leak happens after I ride and then it stops could anyone elaborate on a cause? Would be much appreciated.

your leak could be as simple as a hose clamp that needs to be nipped up, as the bike heats up from riding the metal may slightly expand causing the leak, sounds simple, I would take it for a ride so she warms up, then trace each hose and locate the offending one and nip it up.

    Cheers

    Chris

Also, once the bike has cooled down, just pop the radiator cap and check your coolant levels, you may have to top it up

I know I have to top up the side water chamber every 2 weeks so I am assuming that you are correct the leak maybe from a nip connection.

use new stainless hose clamps. fill overflow bottle half way.bottle lid has hole in top to let excess out. if running inhibitor in water will leave a deposit where leak is. will need to take off fairings and petrol tank to get at all clips. while tank off adjust valve clearance as often too tight. 6 thou inlet,8 thou exhaust.

Have you done compression test yet? What is bikes history, has it been sitting for a long time with no use?

take off tank, remove tappet covers, reset clearances to settings above. remove plug and do compression test, dry first then with squirt of oil down cylinder.check oil level to middle of sight glass on rhs.these motors have a habit of valve clearances getting tite.has the motor been run without oil? check if plug oily. put finger up exhaust and see if it is oily or oil residue.
