What a delight to read! Loved this thread, big ups to you mate. I dont know much about building and maintenance on bikes as Im just getting into it and having enough trouble figuring out the basics. Anyhow the best part about this was that you kept the bike! awesome work seems like it definitely paid off. Happy riding.
Im going to 'Sammy Millers' (bike museum) im going this sunday, its JAP bike weekend, prizes for best 50s/60s/70s/80s etc....should be a laugh. I wonder if I will see any other gsxr250's?......I will post some pics of the event. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sammy_Miller_Motorcycle_Museum
Was a great day at the Japanese Classic Bike Show, The Red Rooster was parked up out in the car park, and a chap came over looking all marshal like, and he looked at the gsx and said 'you need to ride that into the arena mate, that's a classic' I didn't need asking twice . Lots of people took interest in the bike, it was very surreal. the bike didn't win any prises, but its the taking part right. I was also asked back for the next classic show....can't be bad. Incidentally, the NSR 250 Won the Best 90's bike. There were many Superb Classics there, even some 250's....take a look, Enjoy.
gawd, biker heaven, if you pay my fare will be at the next one. better get a ticket for murdo to.!!!!!
