I know I have been annoying LOL But I rebuild the ZXR250c carbs with kits from Motorcycle Spares Warehouse, and my bike idles brilliantly, but in gear the poor thing won't rev past 10,000 rpm, it gets to 9,000ish and stutters to keep going but limits at 10.. Is there anything I need to relook over again? If anyone can post photos/diagrams on what I need to do. P.S "Air to fuel" mixture screws are set at 2.5turns out.. Help ASAP. Cheers guys and gals.
one time i didnt put the carbs on properly and cyl 4 was leaking at the carb boot, was doing the same thing your is.
Some thoughts here that may help you (maybe the last bit if you're just rebuilt the carbs) https://netrider.net.au/threads/zxr250-stuttering.186804/ I'd suggest taking a close look at the pilot holes, if you search my FZR thread I put up a photo of a partially blocked one vs a clear one. You may also want to check your emulsion tubes for blockages. I tend to use a piece of wire brush to clean them because no amount of spraying removes all physical build up. For the smaller holes, piece of a toothbrush. I'm not that familiar with ZXR's sorry so I'm only generally speaking, but hopefully you'll get to the bottom of it.
I fixed the problem. My carbs weren't sitting in the carb boots properly and I turned the air to fuel mixture screws out a 1/4 of a turn and it has made a hell of a difference. Thanks everyone
Grease up the carb boots with rubber grease .... not alot , just a coating. .... good on airbox rubbers also for those playing at home ...... when fitting o rings in carbys or wateva too.
Its at supercheap and autobarn but I would say any auto parts store should have it http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/on...EASE-17-5ML-PBR.aspx?pid=1284#Recommendations https://www.autobarn.com.au/pbr-rubber-grease-110gram-tube-rg4
