Stoppies are simple on the 250. Just keep your head and eyes up ahead and lock your elbows to shift the weight. Sitting wheelies aren't that hard either. I clutch it up from around 9-10k and shift at 14k. Course there's always the burnouts, but unless it's rolling or a circle it's not that impressive.

    Stunts

I can do only a few, none of which are that exciting.

I can sit on my tank my feet hanging over the lights, stand with one foot on the left peg and the other straight out behind me like I flying only with one leg on the left peg. Wheelie, burn out, stoppies, sideways, no hands, standing no hands, none of which are of any talent.

Decided to dig this thread up again ;-)

I've recently been doing stoppies. Lots of fun at lights if you want to show off, just be careful of oil. My bike refuses to do wheelies after being tuned so there's nothing else I can do.

Been trying to slide the back wheel out lately, lots of fun but scary at times.

I've done 1 wheelie for about 2sec or less on my FZR out of about 10 attempts. Havent really attempted stoppies, but i've done 1 rolling burnout for about 10 metres or so. Nothing special.

I wouldn't really try burnouts cause i like to keep the tread on my tyres ;-)

Wheelies are lots of fun if you can pull them, just sucks that 4stroke 250's have trouble pulling them.

Best way to practice is to simply start braking harder to learn how your front brakes react.

Dont try it when ur going fast, i slow right down as if im stopping normally, just before you estimate the bike is going to stop, grab the brakes hard and keep ur body rigid, the back will come up, and then fall back down. Ensure your feet hit the ground to catch you. In a week u'll be right. i can now do them such that when the wheel comes up, and goes back down onto the ground, my feet have not left the pegs.

    give it a go

Lol Fzr Dude. I wanna start learning stoppies...as its one of the few stunts that dont do that much harm to the bike. Would have thought moving burn outs would be hard on the fzr? I too like to keep my tyres...I havn't got much money to be smoking em away. When u think of it a soft compound tyre lasts like 8,000-10,000 kms they reckon? So ud think a burnout would take at least 1,000 kms off them?

    As for sliding...wtf is that??

And wheelies are hard on any bike less than 600cc....even 600's require a bit of effort still. I dont like to put that sorta force on the bike...even on the rgv, wheelies are reasonably hard, as theres no constant velocity carbs like the fzr...so at slow speeds (take offs) there aint much air goin into combustion chambers.
Though when i get it back on the road..I will be trying the...come off the throttle..then throw it back on method....havn't tried that yet...and I think it may work with a lil pulling upwards.

Well, I have never been too adventurous whilst riding, but the best buzz I have ever had, is as a pillion. I was on the back of a Benelli RSV, when the rider popped a mono. He held it on the axis and travelled at least 300 metres down the road.

Man can this bloke ride But it is a strange feeling to be starring at the sky for so long thinking, is this going to tip over. Friends said it was the wildest looking mono they have ever seen.

I remmeber my last stunt, tried to pull of a stoppie. Was midnight coming home from work.. no cars in sight.. goin down this road.. braked hard and my front tyre slip.. started wobbling.. and i almost **** myself. The road i tried to do a stoppie on was on an angle and not cemented smoothly at all.. Keep that in mind guys.. watch out for the roads you practice stopies on!

Checking out chicks and riding.. is a very difficult task.. sometimes i forget to look at where im going !

this one time i rode over the top of a round-a-bout instead of riding around it and this one time i rode down the footpath and jumped of the gutter and this one time i rode to like 60mph and hit the rear brake hard and left like a really long black line but i havnt tried a wheelie yet, maybe tomorrow.

whats a "stoppie" is that when you like stop real sudden?
