ok guys and girls, i am going to update my motorcycle to maybe a zxr 6 or 7 or something like that, i was thinking about getting a $5000 loan save up a bit, maybe 1 or 2g and trade my fzr in for i am hoping 2-2500g, what does everyone think, i also dont have my unrestricted licence, but i will get it, those new iridium plugz i put in my bike are orsm, starts on the 2nd or 3rd kick over, no more flatspot, comments sugestion would be great. THX

ps: my bike is a 89' 2kr, almost 90000k's on it

I can tell you that I sold my bike to a dealer for $1100. It was a '89, 2kr, with 55 000 k's on the clock, minor scratches on the exhaust, everything else original. It had new tires. Only had 1 month left of registration. It needed carbies to be tuned and new front and back brake rotors (pads were fine).

The dealer resold the bike quickly (within a week) to a wrecker for $1450 as all parts were in good condition.

I sold my bike to a dealer because he had a bike I wanted, was giving me a great deal already, and I didn't want to fuss around with selling privately (as I then would have needed to ensure it was roadworthy, whcih means I would have to spend a couple hundred on brake rotors). I would have expected to get about $1600-1800 if I did sell privately.

dean sold his 2kr for 3500 private sale and he had a fair few kms on it. I "sold" mine for 3700 (3ln) but that was pedning roadworthy. freakin mechnic must have wanted to take me to cleaners coz he said i needed 950 for parts, plus a tune up (when was that a RWC req) whjich brough the total to 1300. Ive already had my whine at net riders but yeah maybe sell it private and yo uwont need to take out so much of a loan. from a dealer i reckon you would get less than 2000, they offered me 2000 ponly at spot on but that wasnt trade in.

Nah..Dean as in me <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> . Well actually sold it for 3,350. Had 50,000 kms on it too. Though it runs fine. I think if u sold urs privatley ull get heaps more than a dealer. They offered Sandog a lil over 2 grand for his 3ln trade in.
