i was told by a lock smith, ho i've never tryed it....

find a blank key that fits....
put it in, and jiggly from left to right, make sure u dont bust the key....
now the tricky bit, take the key out and it should give u an out line of the key patteren, grab a small file and file away to make the shape.....

like i said never done it, see how u go...

I really feel for you Patske,
I have been walking around for a year and a half with only one key to my bike. Then I had a key cut last week, just in case of a situation like you find yourself in. I now thank my lucky stars that I did.

I dont have an answer for you, but good luck with it.

You could just buy another iggy switch from the breakers. There are several generic Yamaha switches on eBay.

You may take the Switch off and run it down to the local Yami shop and see if they can cut a key from the info stamped on the switch. They may ask for proof of ownership though.

I've checked into prices of ignition switches (when my current ignition switch was seizing) and they were asking about $150 from wreckers. I then put some graphite into the switch and all was fixed...

I would be guessing a locksmith could help you out?

HOORAY.......

Your next move, will no doubt be, to get some spare keys cut.

yeah the first thing i would do is get a key cut, u'll have to goto a locksmith as those keycutting places in shopping centres dont carry blanks for cars or motorbikes...it was the first thing i done when i got my bike
