IF the helmet touched the ground even once whlie you were in the throws of crashing, you're gonna have to replace it.

HA HA, suckers, speeding kills. i was done speeding, currently on probation, i dont speed any more. Who would die in a head on crash with a car or even a car backing out of a driveway? Ill give you a clue, the guy on 2 wheels (if speeding) there are some people out there who do stupid things, QUOTE {We all go out, not always thinking about the consequences of our actions until its too late.} From KIWICOASTER true words, i mean who knew that a cop was there? you could sus the road out first if you wanted to speed but by speeding you not only endanger your life but others so the moral of the story is, if you want to see your family/whoever when you get off the bike DONT SPEED! if you want to live with the burdon of taking someone else's life then there is something wrong with you.
Ride Safe and according to the conditions.
But my personal view is that we all end up in the same place, 6 ft under.
Piss ON!

Well I see that I am somewhat the fool, as each comment carried the same tone althought writen by two differnt folks.

My apologies to both.

Even worse, I never did the conversion of kph to mph, which is:
60 kph = 37.2822715 mph
160 kph = 99.4193908 mph

Umm.....Dude. I'm not saying you got what you deserved, but over here in the States, that'd be a felony.

60 (96.56064 kph) over doesn't sound all that bad when you think of it terms of going 120 (193.12128 kph) in a 60 such as on the interstate, but in a 35-40 zone? That was a little careless and reckless.

I know this will porbably not slow you down, but I do hope it teaches you what is a good place and what isn't.

Depending on which State it occured in would determin the fine, but every state would have you hauled off to jail and the bike impounded (sometimes you don't get the bike back either). The fine could be anywhere from $500 to $1500 and a year in jail as well as being required to take a defensive driving course at your expense (which isn't cheap either).

over here in NSW those sort of speeds (45kph over limit) can result in 3 actions.
1 - a fine, around $1500 plus 6 month suspension.
2 - field court attendance notice, basically a form advising you to attend court on a certain day where the matter will be heard.
3 - arrested and charged, then more than likely released on bail til the court date around 2 - 3 weeks later.

for 2 and 3 fines and suspensions are up to the magistrate, note that traffic offences are deemed more serious in court than criminal offences such as malicious damage, assaults, stealings etc.

if you are going to speed, be prepared to face the consequences if you get caught.
I say that just coming off a 1 month suspension for 120 in a 90 zone in my car. i do not speed anymore. even we get booked sometimes
