Last week wednesday i had my first major accident. Luckly i was wearing a brandnew helmet i got 1 day before. the old one i had had no padding whatsoever. and the chin strap would come lose from the wind.

its like this I riding normalling comming on to a shoppiung complex, a car heading in the opposite direction came into a stop and indicated to go into the shopping complex( to get into the complex the car would need to cross my lane) now thinking the driver saw me because he was in the stop for some time, Just as iam in line with the shopping complex gate the car swung across in my lane all i remebered was the sound of my engine the bonnet of the car and a faint thump. then feeling light i knew i was in the air.

I new i flipped twice because i saw the sky and the ground in 2 reps.
the i felt my head give a couple gentle knods the i finally stop.

i ended up in a drainage ghuat.

lying there in the cold drain i kept on telling my self dont black out. The place was quiet like all life ceased to exsist, the sound of vehicle and shouts slowly came back.

I moved my kneck to check if it was broken i twiteched my feet to see if they were alright , tried the same thing with my hands only my left hand responded.

Draging my self up like a wounded soldier i managed to get of my helmet and checked it , there was a major brusie at the top of it or should i say that could have been the crown of my head. I then looked around and spotted my bike about 35-40 feet away jammed in the entrance wall letting out a dreadful wale, coolant and oil running out on the ground all twisted up.

man that was sad. I only suffered minor bruise and tissue damage from the fall I thought my right had was broken but heh i fell on it so hard it failed to respond. right now it aches.

like the doctor said if you were not wereing that helmet you would have been dead.

I'll put up a list of what

Whoa!!! Bad news.

I am very glad to hear that you suffered little injury and that you got yourself checked out by the Doc.

Firstly, you're gonna need to buy a new helmet.
Secondly, I think you're gonna need to buy another bike. It'll be cheaper.

Rest well, heal strong.

Wow... glad to hear you are writing about it though!

I agree with FZRDude - a new bike sounds cheaper than rebuilding... But then again I have no clue about the marketplace in the carribean.

Sorry about your accident Shandu.

Its a good thing you had that new helmet, and as Boz
says, you can tell us about it.

Take care of yourself.

Daaaaaaamn, that sucks....
Glad to hear you're not in bad shape!
And that pooor pooor bike...

I had one lady pull out in front of me, from a shopping complex to head the direction I was goin... Good thing I was going slow (50-60 kph), if I had been doing the speed limit (80 kph) I may have ended up in the driver's seat and she (the driver) may have been flattened
Although, the look of shock on her face when she realised what she had done was priceless, well I thought anyway.
I didn't have to brake at all, the road was clear all around me, so I just went into the right lane around her and all was ok.

Thanks for the concerne guys. About buying a new bike i was thinking the same thing and i have to import all my parts from england if iam going to rebuild it.

the guy says he have insurance, he came to visit twice then i havent heard or see him since. he asked me once if the bike is rebuildable i told no. I think that scarded him away.

I think he dont wanna buy me back a bike so i decided to get some prices for repair, and see which one is cheaper.

Iam going to sell the bike though if or when i get it repaired.
you know the sad part of it. I just repainted the bike.
