Hi guys. I've been looking at a megelli and from what I've read so far well they are not good. Can anyone confirm if the 2012 model is a game changer for megelli. Input would be greatly appreciated as it will help me decide between a ninja and megelli.

    Regards,
    Josh

s.e. has far better suspension than 250r, mechanically same, internally are strong. ninja has more power.look at purchase price, resale and parts prices.also bike fit for you.

How much more power are we talking. It needs to be able to get up and go on the freeway. 5.8k aud for the megelli ride away. The ninja is 5350 aud ride away. I know ninjas are a dime a dozen but I'm really need something reliable as I'll riding it 45k to work and back everyday.

I saw the resale price on there megelli for around 3k that's almost half of what the dealer is asking for. The ninja is still retaining its value and well I've seen used bikes sell higher than what they want for a new one

Ive never owned either bike but if I was looking at something to do your work travel needs ,the ninja would have to win hands down.
Its proven, common and been around for ages.
All I ever read about the Megelli is its problems (even when u take into account that people usually post problems more than "wow my bike is faultless!")

And if the Ninja is actually cheaper then to me its a no brainer.

I think the megelli got a bad rep from the air cooled model but the water cooled is much better.reliability has improved and i ride 120 km a day. have both models and the se feels better with the different forks and monoshock.get between 70 and 73.8 mpg[old codger who calculates back] or 24km per litre. no oil use at all and keeps up with the traffic.
