whats the deal with the speed light on the speedo? Is it adjustable because it seems to come on too quickly for me <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

goes on at 80 k/hr (the max speed limit in Japan I've been led to believe). It isn't easily adjustable (i'm sure it's possible, but not easy) - you may wish to take out the bulb if it gets really annoying.

my technical solution was to stick some black electrical tape over it.
Out of sight out of mind, as they say. Works for me.

Yeah that red light, gave me a fright the first time I saw
it, thought something was wrong with the bike, going slow as, till
I could pull off the road in a safe place.
Hubby following me, wondered what was up, and why was I going
so slow. Explained to him about the red light, and he laughed his
head off and told me to try going faster, said if I went fast enough
    it would go out.
Well I wasn't amused!!! Red lights to me meant trouble.
Hes doubled up laughing, while I'm ranting and raving about damage
to my fzr. Finally when he was laughed out at my expense, and realized
he maybe sleeping on the couch he tells me (seriously) what the red light is for.

Now I don't even notice it. I don't want to.
