Bad luck dude. Just practice in a car park, you'll get it in no time. The cone weave is lots of fun...

Chin up.

Eeek, so no chance of any leniency regarding a re-test for just the emergency stop? Unfamiliar bike (damn chook chasers! ), bad conditions, a bit of bad luck...
As for the copper... ugh; i think all cops Australia wide must have had a resolution to pick on motorbikes - especially the 250's.

Cheers for the replies.

Yeah things are looking better already unless Starters predictions about my cam chain are right....

I wish that was all, now because I failed the test I have to spend another weekend at the training place doing a course before I can even attempt the test again. Oh well it is paid for by the government so I can’t really complain, good practice I guess.

Nah, the guy said I was unlucky but wasn’t going to budge.

Looks like the rain has stopped, time for a ride I think.

Man that sucks... especially cause it started raining again at about 4pm today. But I reckon you would've been back by then?

I wasn't... Was at uni and didn't have any of my water proof gear >< I hate getting the leather jacket wet

But on the plus side I went out afterwards drifting with my mate in his 180sx. I'm such a hypocrite

man, we have to get out for a ride together when the sun comes out.

Yeah I was back by the time it started raining again. At least the rain has given me a chance to catch up on some polishing, I just hope it stops before I go to work tomorrow.
Yeah it would be good to get out on a group ride, don’t think I will be doing much riding until I can get this cam chain situation sorted tho. depending on how things go I might not be able to make it to the ride from Cooma either.

it's actually occured to me that I can't either. I've had to arrange a bbq next sunday and I can't really get out of it ><
It's a shame, because it's a good cause. I might still try and make the MRA learners ride this saturday though. Have been meaning to get onto one of them for a while.

That's provided I'm not moving house. eich. Life is too hectic.

I don’t think the A.C.T. system has a M.O.S.T. component, what ever it stands for. Funny you should dredge up this thread, I have done the post fail pre-retest course and will be doing the test second time round tomorrow. Oh and the forecast is for clear skies, lol. I am really over having to do 80kph when in NSW, sure saps the fun out of a coast run. Hopefully by wednesday next week I will have a shiny new licence, about bloody time too.

Skill is all it takes, luck is not a factor.

But good luck anyway...

Oh cheers FZR Dude, I PASSED! Hoorah.

And I did it on the fizzer too. Stuff those damn trail bikes. I have been practicing like a dog and it has paid off, looking where you want to go, feathering the clutch dragging the rear brake and shifting weight like a madman is all it took. I was even told to slow down when partaking in a few warm up figure eights, lol.

Once I left I told myself to ride like a granny not wanting to tempt fate with the cops and what do you know, one second the mirror is clear and the next a big shinny police bike. But they had nothing on me this time, thank god.

Thanks for all the tips you guys have given me. Time to start saving for a new bike for next Christmas.

Big congrats Ciaran!
How great does it feel the first time you go for a ride without that yellow anchor!

You passed and then some huh?

Well done!

I find it more than coincidental that the got pulled up twice.

Was it the same road / highway?

I didnt get pulled over this time. It was just a couple of km from the same spot on the same stretch of road that I spotted him though. More than just a coincidence you say.

Well I wouldn’t know just yet, I am going to play it safe until I can get my actual license changed over on wednesday.

Well done Ciaran, you made it happen.

Instinct made you cautious when leaving and paid off well.
Pie in his/her eye that time. Yeah!!

I also want to set my test on the fizzer, because thats what I ride.
I hope to do as well as you, and pass.

Cheers mate.

I just passed my p's test, i failed it the first time with my fzr. I used their cb250 on my go today and it is 1 million times easier. My tip is to do it first time with your fzr, if you fail, its only $100 to do the test a second time with bike hire. Bike hire the first time is 140 alone. You in the end save $40 by failing the first time with ur fzr and hiring in the second. But you lose 1 hour of ur time i guess

Congrates on passing the P's test. I just passed mine a couple of weeks ago on the FZR. I do agree that it is very hard to do it on the FZR. But I did manage it by the skin of my teeth. If they were marking you on style I would have failed dismally.

It showed me just how bad I was on the FZR at slow speed. Ever since the test I have practiced everyday for about a minute just doing some slow riding. My general riding skills have improved drematically.

Now it is <365 days till your of your P's and can start looking for a bigger bike.
