Well, in one quick moment... i've sold my FZR. I'm still rather shocked watching the new owner ride away on her; but she's gone to a good home - i'm sure she'll bring many more happy days riding with the new owner.

I'll still be on these forums quite a bit as i'm hoping to get something FZR'ish but a little bigger... and i'm still the wealth of FZR knowledge i was before. The call has gone out for a new bike for me... so with any luck in a few weeks or so i'll be back on the road and riding again.

To the new owner (who was a lurker on these forums), best of luck with the bike and happy & safe riding.

Cheers,
Koma.

Yeah i know... now as it stands the mods/admins on this site no longer ride FZR's.
Boz --> YFZ600 (or was it a 750?)
Grendal --> ex. RGV250
Dean --> not sure...
Me --> no idea

I'm shopping around for something at the moment; i've got alot of options and a fairly limited budget. Either way, i'm hoping to be back on the road before Christmas, as i'd go stir crazy without a bike all summer. There's a few project bikes floating around that i'm thinking i might finish off and sell to fund something a bit newer, but all in good time.

Let the test riding begin!

I knew you where planning on upgrading soon but I must say I wasn’t expecting it so suddenly.

All the best with finding a new bike. And to the proud new FZR owning lurker, congrats on the fine bike selection.

Now don't do anything rash like shut down the forum.

Hahaha, nah... this site is great!
Since i joined this site i've watched it grow, and love contributing to it.
When i first bought my bike everyone i spoke to made the FZR sound like some mythical creature that would eat you up, clog it's carbs then spit you off into the land of no spare parts; but alot has changed since then.

The FZR is now respected quite widely as a formidable competitor to the CBR R/RR and the ZXR250, all be it with an unfortunate reputation of being slid down the road (just look at the history of FZR's within Netrider ). I loved every minute of riding my mini-beast and developed a great reputation amongst the Netrider crew as doing things with a 250 that people didnt realise was possible (like out running most of a pack of litre sports bikes through the twisties ).

It's also a great testimony to this site having so many international members (UK, Ireland, U.S.A, and many more), sharing the passion we have for our bikes. I'm sure that whatever happens, through year after year of learners and riders enjoying FZR's that the site will flourish. As long as there are FZR's on the road, i say this forum will live!

congrats on the sale! I assume that with the speed of the sale it was a great buy/sell on for both parties!

I'm actually on a yzf750r...

As for a new bike - definitely consider the yzf series. Great bikes, more 'user friendly' than the r6/r1 series, etc. But then again pretty much all bikes have their strengths and weaknesses...

Let us know where your thoughts are taking you

Congrats on a quick sale, Koma.

You obviously felt it was time to move on to another bike riding experience.
Exciting, waiting to hear what you decide to get next.

I wonder if the new lurker ower will become a poser wannabe!!!
