    Hey guys I got my P's.

    I was very thankful considering my battery went flat on the day (after an hour of sitting around idleing) the tester had to push me so I could clutch start to do the test.

    I found the cone weave the hardest. The rest no worries (glad they don't mark you for style). I think I need some more practice at low speed riding.

    Just a question.
    Would the test be any diffrent in Sydney as apposed to Melbourne. I know the age limites are diffrent so is the test critirea the same standard?

    Good work on getting your P's, I can tell already that the next 12 months is going to feel like and eternity.

    I am almost certain that it would be different, I am in the ACT and it is different from NSW, go figure.

    Melbourne is much easier. The p's test in victoria is actually easier than the l's test (in my opinion).

    Victoria L's test: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.motorcycletraining.com.au/learner.html">http://www.motorcycletraining.com.au/learner.html</a><!-- m -->
    Victoria P's test: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.motorcycletraining.com.au/license.html">http://www.motorcycletraining.com.au/license.html</a><!-- m -->

    Also (and FYI) if you want to take your p's look into <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.motorcycletraining.com.au">http://www.motorcycletraining.com.au</a><!-- m --> - they offer 10% off to people who are members of netrider.net.au (so sign up there, and save money for your p's!)

    Well done BIGGIRDS <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
    When they say "you've passed", that would be one hell of weight off your shoulders, I know the feeling well. I was shaking with nerves just before the final test but I had a much relaxed ride home.

    For your benefit Ciaran, the M.O.S.T. (motorcycle operators skills test) consists of:

    1. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/tests/most/most_left_turn_stop.html">http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/tes ... _stop.html</a><!-- m -->

    2.
    <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/tests/most/most_coneweave_uturn.html">http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/tes ... uturn.html</a><!-- m -->

    3.
    <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/tests/most/most_braking.html">http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/tes ... aking.html</a><!-- m -->

    4.
    <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/tests/most/most_swerve.html">http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/tes ... werve.html</a><!-- m -->

    The instructor runs everyone through the courses making it harder each time.

    When everyone felt confident, she administered the test.

    Yeah that is roughly the same as the ACT test.

    They let you at the test right away or you can choose to do a one day course like you described.

    Our test in tassie is identical exept no.4 is 20-30k and swerve to left and straighten up again going between 2 parallel lines.

    Also includes road test about 30k return ride and everyone has turn at leading for about 5k. Instructor follows leader.

    A test like that is minimal obstacle to being licensed to ride a vehicle that goes 0-100km/h in less than three seconds.

    God bless this country <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

    Thanks for that guys.

    It was a massive relief to finally here that I was successful. Especially after all of the trouble I was having with the bike on the day.

    The test did open my eyes to how terrible I am at slow speeds. I need some more practice doing slow riding.
