It's a CB250, yea yea, it's not a quick machine, but its good for commuting, and learning. I'll get some pictures up soon. Honda CB250, 1999, 7000kms and only 4k NZD (thats $2740 USD or $3750 AUS) It's in good condition, and I'm happy.

The reason is, a while a go I was looking at buying a FZR250, but it was broken, so I can here to try and find some solutions to the problem. I registered here about that time, then decided I couldn't afford to buy a not working bike. So then I just kept looking around, mainly for things like fizzers, but the CB came along, so i bought it. In 13 months I'll get something decent anyway...
Yea, REALLY easy to ride aye? I was just riding it around on the lawn for a bit the other day, no intrusction or anything, just slip the cluth out and you're right.
hmmmm, how fast does it go, Jake? And is it really easy to ride? i know that when i go for my Ls, that's the bike i have to do it on... but i'm already having trouble with Nessie (My feet are not totally level on the ground). Isn't the CB250 wider than the FZR?
Hm, it went 110kph, with me and dad, and a few 1000 rmp left, (and when i say a few 1000 rpm, i mean about 1500-2000, but there wasnt much left on the throttle) so its not too bad. Yea, its easy as riding a bicycle! I just hopped on, and wennt , without any instruction. I'm sitting my learners today too, so hope that goes well, but I'm sitting it on an automatic scooter, so it should be a breeze. Not sure if its wider, couldnt find out. The CB's seat is low, probably too low for a 6ft+ guy, but not sure about you. I think you'd be fine.
The FIZZER rear monoshock is is easily adjustable to alter the ride height. Mostly they are on the higher settings. There are other posts on the forum about how to adjust them. There "SHOULD" be an adjusting tool in the tool kit and only need to take off the rear LH side fairing to adjust. The shock has markings 1 to 7 and turn adjuster to the lower numbers.
Hmm... I might need to figure out how to do that... I have a bit of trouble pushing my bike when it breaks down because my feet don't quite make full contact with the ground... Well, some members tell me there is a tool kit that includes the adjusting tool. Mine has bugger all.
No problem Cuddles. My tool kit fell out after about 3 days. I'm sure it wasnt stolen, but the thing was "locked" (which is a lousy excuse for just turning something) and then I found out it wasnt there, but it was still "locked". A mystery. Maybe I just left it on the lawn one day.
The first time I took my fizzer for a ride I kept thinking I was hearing a 'tink….tink tink' 'tink….tink tink.' Was wondering what the hell it was… It was so faint I thought that I might have been imagining it. Eventually I pulled over to ensure that I was loosing bolts or something… only to discover that I'd lost half the tools out of the tool kit. The storage compartment on the fizzer sucks. Or at least it does on my bike. On mine it's no so much a compartment, as a few pieces of plastic tacked on top of the rear tyre's mud guard… It doesn't even have an enclosed side on the side facing the seat, so everything just falls out down there. One of my upcomming projects will be to build an actual little tool box and compartment to custom fit under the rear seat… Part of that project will include standardising the myriad of bolts, nuts, and screws that hold my fairings, etc, on, so I only need one or two tools to take it apart.
