Just wondering if anyone else feels their fizzer is unstable above 120 km/h?
Mine feels slightly shakey and floaty, anyone know why?

It used to be really bad at 120 but the mechanics fixed it quite a bit when they were repairing the bike.

can't say I've ever had the problem.
The bike is a little light in the front end on the change of direction but I assume that's a suspension issue.

Lets just say mine felt stable all the way up till it ran out of gusto (~185-195). It got a little twitchy at high speed if i had the 130 rear tyre & the preload jacked up... but other than that it was always nice and stable.

It always felt to me like the bike kinda stabilised and settled in for a high speed run at about 140... possibly just me tucking in behind the screen. ;)

Lets just say it was very planted and stable at 140km/h... with no fairings... and no identifiers on the bike.

Hopefully i'll be regd & RWC'd by next weekend. I 'might' let you know after that.

You are such a tease!

And, I thought that this wasn't normal. My step bro keeps whingin how the fzr sucks compared to his CBR250R. Well, it is true.... or rather was until he had his little head on.... that his cbr was better than my fzr, I had his bike nice and stable up to 180-185km/h and he only got it to 170-175 i guess I'm a little bit more aerodynamics than he is

Well, thanks for the input guys.... I wonder what the problem is.... not that it's really a hinderance until I start doing track days! Then I'll be crawling down the straights while everyone else flies past me. (not too mention through any corners with >120km/h speeds).

(...... i think a wireless router then an adsl router causes posts and sending emails to not work. )

Oh, sudden thought, would it possibly be, if the brake rotor was warped so that the pads were binding (even just slightly, without using the brake lever) and it didn't have any real effect until the higher speeds? ....... [for some reason this paragraph doesn't seem to be that coherent]
And why i think I might have a warped rotor is because when I brake the front end (i am talking about the front brake only) jerks as if the pads are slipping or the rotor is warped. And I ruled out slipping because that would be more random and not consistent at a certain speed (but varies with varied speed).

warped rotor

hey bizz,
if your front brake rotor is warped you should notice it more when braking at low speeds than at high speeds. my disc is warped at the moment but i don't really notice it when i am braking at speeds over 80kph. If you have at get a new disc call the "import motorcyles center" in brisbane on 0738089440 and they should be able to help you out. Well they should at least have one in stock because i ordered one, then waited a week for it to show, then called them back when it didn't and it had apparently disappeared when it got to their post office, so they sent me another one today. anyway sorry to compain, hope this helps.

I wouldn't consider that complaining.
But, yeah I do notice it more at lower speeds rather than higher.. what I meant was that its warped so that when you aren't applying any brake at all, the pads are binding with the rotor a little (i notice this when I wheel the bike around on the odd occasion) and because of this, i was wondering that the effect was worsened at higher speeds.... and hence having instability issues.
