    ROFLOL... nice one Tim.
    Nothing quite like going above and beyond the call of duty. <!-- s:cool: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt=":cool:" title="Cool" /><!-- s:cool: -->

    In terms of 'replacing' with a clutch or brake cable, as FZR Dude said... nope.
    In terms of modding something to 'work', it could be done. The problem with attempting to do something like this would be that you'd need to either shorten or lengthen the cable, and that creates a weak point - and weak points always fail first.

    My recommendation would be to go chasing around a few wreckers and see what you can hunt down. Email a few wreckers around your area and interstate - i seem to end up getting most of my parts from the other side of Australia.

    I used standard push-bike brake cable and modified to suit...No probs in over 6 mths...

    Anyway:

    - Get 2 X standard braided steel bike brake cable, cut to correct length on the end 'without' the lead weight.

    - Mold the lead weight to suit the lower EXUP valve slots VERY carefully if necessary. (Mine were slightly too big so used a mini grinder to get a little more off to fit without damaging the cable.

    - Then use an Oring with a hex or similar bolt through it and tighten really well at the top end servo when fitted...I used Oring's about 5 mm diameter from a model plane I had. so suggest a hobbyists...

    - Tighten cables as per standard.

    NOTE: I just replaced the wire, not the actual sheath. If you need the sheathing, I think your pretty stuffed...The old sheath was OK enough to do the job well.

    P.S I checked with Yam and they wanted like $100+ per original cable so do this cleanly and save some dough...
