Exup Chords Hey I have another question about putting the EXUP bits back on the bike, I recently bought a 2Kr model bike with the Exup hardware stripped (the motor and controller are fine though) so I found all the bits at a wreckers, but Im not sure how the Chords are supposed to run between the valve and the servo controller. There is a bit of a path that seems to run dangerously close to the chain, is that where the cables are supposed to travel? I know its a little awkward to explain, but could someone describe how the cables get from A to B?
would have to double check, but I think they run from the motor, down behind the rear left hand fairing, between the frame and the air box, and down to the exup valve.
Hey dudes, when replacing exup cables and then to set those cables correctly again do u first - start then stop the engine, pin the vane, fit then tighten cables to this setting of the server? remove pin and they're set???
Re: Exup Chords I seem to remember my 2KR cables were close to the chain. Look at this old picture -you can just make out the cables
i think i have a problem with my exup. its all been apart recently and i think it was put back to gether the wrong way, as im getting no low end power (it actually stalls if i let it drop below about 6k) and the power dosnt kick in until when the valve would normally be closing. but the cables dont seem to reach the other way... should i just take it all out?
You can run without the EXUP but at the expense of low end torque and runability. I could not get up my driveway unless I was in the power band when mine was permanently wired open. Have a look at this EXUP link. It is not for a 250 but is esentially identical. viewtopic.php?f=20&t=676
