On the 2KR they are little fat cylindrical globes with a flat glass blade end where the wires poke out and turn back and just plug in - as u can see it is hard to describe the globes but you will understand when you pull one out and replace it. They are commonly available at bike shops but may be cheaper at an auto electrical specialist. Shop around....

lesson 3 Most other places are cheaper than bike shops.

Are they difficult to remove?? Not really. Just a bit of disassembly required.

Thanks for that dave,i know the type of bulb you are describing.Common car parking light bulbs are the same.It will be handy to know which ones to get before i dissasemble the clocks.I presume the 3ln1 will use the same ones as the 2kr.

Also, on my FZR1k gauges (which are pretty much identical to the 3LN-3 gauges except for a speedo that goes to 300)... one of the globes is alot smaller than the other 3.

The regular one is identical to the parking wedge globes as commonly found in Falcons and Commodore (and probably every other car on the planet), but the smaller one i'd never actually seen used before.

Hmm,im gonna have to try that now,i presume the orange bulbs will give a deep orange glow to the clocks, yea?

I replaced the blown bulbs in five minutes after,a painless procedure.

As the the clocks light up orange with the clear globes i reckon this would have an effect on the colour when you try the blue globes,it may or may not work but the clocks would look well lit up in blue, only one way to find out i suppose.
