    Hey guys and gals,
I am starting to get a little concerned about my exhaust can. There is a burnt black and brown colour on top of the exhaust can, just under where the pillion foot peg is. It is about 15 - 20cm in length and about 8 - 10cm in width. It looks like the exhaust has been over-heating and has burnt the outside of the can. Yesterday, after i took it for a bit of a run, i ran my hand up and down the can, at about a height of 2cm (otherwise i would have burnt the **** out of my hand, obviously) and i felt the majority of the heat coming from the blackened spot.
Has anyone had this happen to them before or have any idea what is going on?
    cheers

I havent had this happen to me, only cause i haven't had mine long. But sounds like the inside had burnt through obviously. Is it an after market can?? if so it may be a cheap one.

    exhaust..ed

Nah its not an after-market can, its the original one with EXUP written down the side of it. The burn mark is actually more towards the rear end of the can than i previously stated.
I've heard that there is packing inside the can, is this true? and is it possible to get these cans "re-packed" or is the only option to replace the can?
    Cheers
