    check if the bulb is burnt. the bulb has 2 coils, 1 for park light and 1 for brake light. the one for brake light probably burnt out.

    easy / cheap replacement too. Any autoshop will carry the bulb, and you can change the bulb in the parking lot. When this happened to me (although it was the running light, not the brake light) I went to an autoshop, pulled out the bulb, went in asked for a replacement, and installed it and left.

    Not sure if this is what you meant, but if you tail light goes off when you hit the brakes and, if your lights are off the brake light works dimly, it means you have a bad earth connection at the tail light. It can just be as simple as a slightly corroded bulb socket causing that.

    du's it work when you use your front brake

    look for a spring on the back of the foot lever that gos to a switch. Pull it if your light lights up then you need to ujust it by turning the collar on the switch

    When I have the engine off, but the electrics on, I can hear a little "click" when I use either of the brakes, and this is the trigger for the brakes. Can you hear the little click?

    OR.. Is my bike stuffed again? <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
