Hi guys, going to detail my bike for the 1st time since i got it this week-end. Yes ive washed it, but im wanting to get into those spots that are hard to get to. The main parts i want to concentrate on are the wheels(white) calipers, rotors and the frame. Now i have the deltabox frame, ive tried alum polish, but it just went black. i have taken the black off but it has made it a diff colour. it worked great on the pegs, levers and foot guards but no good on the frame. What have u guys used to clean it up with?? Also some of the white paint is chipped of the wheels. Should i paint it on again or sandblast it white?? My bike is white the calipers are grey, what do u guys suggest for these?? leave them grey, black or that goldy colour??

Thanks for your advice in advance.

I dont think polishing the frame with metal polish will work, due to the fact the frame painted.

As for the rims, painting white would be easier. Underneath the white paint is nice shiney metal (see my avatar). You could remove the wheels, take the tyres off, strip the outer edge of the rim of white paint, use your metal polish for a high sheen.

That a picture of my bike which I have recently completed (Finished pics soon). I stripped the paint off the frame for the polished look.
