R6 engine width is around 296mm, I think a little wide for the fzr. The FZR400, from previous posts fits, but very snuggly.

But I really dont think the tyres, chain assembly on the fizzer will take the power (or the frame).

Why not try a FZR250 engine in a R6? Or better still just buy an R6.

As little as i want to admit it, there's a point at which modifying a car/bike becomes pointless. Especially when your in it for the same reason i am - performance per dollar (and fun per dollar).

As BigLez suggested, your better off just buying an R6 and being done with it. I've got some quirky idea's about things i'd like to do to my FZR1000 but in the end it's just not worth me doing them! 1040 kit and a turbo sounds like alot of fun but by the time i'd spent that money or working it up, i could've just bought a newer R1 or similar and got about the same performance. (Please note i didn't say same power, i said performance)

Enjoy your FZR250 for all it's imperfections because one day you'll look back and say 'damn i enjoyed that bike!'

Yah, but it would be hella cool to see it done. Not for power or performance or anything like that. Just as a crazy project. Like the orange bazookas we made as kids.

Wow I made it sound like past tense.. I'm still making those damn things!

Oh, and ashlee simpson and hillary duff. Nice combination man. Nice.

I'm doing that now. (Though I wouldn't trade my current steed for it - I want both)

    Same here.
Every time i do a run through the twisties im in awe of the power my new beast puts out, but the sheer pleasure of cranking it over so far you can see the ashphalt blur out the corner of your eye, then flicking it to the other side and doing the same just isnt there on a heavier bike.

It is, but it just takes so much longer to get there that it is not as exciting. There is a lot of effort required to manhandle a 500 lb bike from full lean to full lean.
