    yesterday, i stupidly left my key in the bike on the on position in first gear. today i noticed that the key was in this position and i nearly hit the fkin roof, how could i be that stupid???

    the battery was really flat and it only just started the bike, i let it idle for 10 mins then took it for a very intense 30min ride, hoping that the alternator would recharge the battery. It seems to be fully charged now but i was just wondering if there is anything i should be worrying about, was this bad for the battery or should it be all sweeet??

    Indeed, how could you?
    If it started on the battery you will be ok, as it was not real flat at all...
    You might need a bit more of a charge though.
    Go for another ride <!-- s:alcoholic: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_all_coholic.gif" alt=":alcoholic:" title="Alcoholic" /><!-- s:alcoholic: -->

    YES AND NOT REALLY

    1. your bike is working fine for the alternator to recharge it but it put alot of strain on the recharging system. Seeing that the bike needs the battery to ignnite the spark and seeing that the battery was weak the alternator was working overtime.

    But it shouldn't hurt your bike. just keep the battery up.

    I'd suggest removing the battery and charging it up properly.

    Look up the battery specs for the appropriate ampage/voltage you should charge the battery too, or just phone a mechanic.

    No great harm done. If you are still worried get yourself a trickle charger for a BIKE battery from your local car shop.
