Some of you might like it, some of you might hate it... some of you might just ask 'why?' ...

its taken a hell of a lot longer than it should have but i'm almost finished. Just have to do the gauges, wheels and paint that seat cowl.

That is not too foul at all - There has been a bit of effort getting to where you are.

THUMBS UP from me

Another thumbs up from over here.
Whilst the tail is a teeency bit big for the poor little FZR250, it doesn't look overly out of place with the rest of the streetfighter look.

I'd be chasing some under/over projectors for headlights next... but thats just my tastes.

that looks awesome - I hope you're putting the steps you went through in the "mod" section of the forums.

Look forward to seeing what you do for the gauges.

Is that an R6 seat?

thanks guys

yeah i agree...the tail did end up to be a bit big for the bike... its kinda looks a bit weird with the skinny tyre there but im not changing it back now :p

i actually have a few more photos i can post about the steps i went through but i dont think theyre good enough pics... never had my phone or camera handy at the right times... i think the steps might take a bit of extra explanation... ill work on it tho.

i really dont know what im going to do with the gauges... i kinda left it til last because i just didnt want to think about it ill have to improvise something and then maybe change it if i think of something better.

might be able to get some pod-style ones from a naked bike (like the GS500 or the ER5). Then maybe try replacing the inner parts with those from the FZR (so you have the correct gearing for the tacho and speedo, etc)

thanks for your comments everyone...

that actually is a 1999 R1 tail and "easy" wouldnt be the first word i'd use to describe it :p it actually took a bit of creativity and im working on a writeup for it... but it might take me a little while. lets just say ive gotten to know my angle grinder quite well over the past few months

Well as I said I think it looks great

The only thing I would have done a bit different was put gold motor cross handle bars on it I have a thing for those lol
