Akey and Feverpitched; i really do have a soft spot for that colour scheme. Just looks like that was the colour FZR250's were meant to come in!

Well to be honest i haven't really been trying all that hard to sell it; i'm still quite attached to it. I've also been riding her as my main bike whilst the GSXR is in the shops getting a bit of work done to it. I really forgot how awesome a bike it is! I think i'll be doing a few more mods whilst i wait for it to sell; like re-sculpting the seat and relaxing the suspension a little bit. I must've been a nutter riding it as twitchy as i've got it set at the moment!

koma: I saw you hoon by on Johnston(?) st near Lygon the other night (I was in the Shell getting petrol). Unmistakably you, it's a really distinct looking bike. It looks great, next time i'll wave you down for a closer look.

Haha, yeah that would've been me. I was in the area last night (Tuesday) helping out a friend in need. When you say hooning... it was probably just the exhaust note as i'm generally fairly placid whilst im in town.
Please do wave me down as it's great to meet people off the forums as well! Chances are i'll be back on the Gixxer next week but i'll always have 'KOMA' on my GSXR's windscreen.

thought id put up a pic or two

picked up a fzr250 about two months ago for cheap, had been dropped and also spun a big end.

just been taking my time fixing her up, 2nd hand motor and fixed a few issues,
new pads
chain
sprockets
exup overhaul
cleaned the carbies just need to adjust the floats properly.

has been a good learning curve bit different from my automotive 9-5 clockwork

have put 75kms on the clock and im hooked

The old girl was a bit rough after the previous owners had chucked her down the road and only done a bit of plastic weld as a repair. So I got some lucky strike decals from www.bikehps.com and got a friend of a friend to do some painting. I've got some EXUP decals winging there way to NZ for the back end cos its a bit bland atm.

The pillion seat got covered in steel and painted and the pillion pegs have come off (since the last photo) and a piece of bent steel suffices as an exhaust bracket.

Sling - Great work! Perhaps, a respray to WHITE for the rims would set it off even more?

Yeah, I'm thinking about going with black wheels with a red strip around them. I'm going from a picutre of the YZF750 that Magee and Rainey won the Suzuka 8 hour on in 1990 (?). Anyway, the wheels can wait until winter so I dont miss out on anymore riding time

I brought this baby for $500, badly in need of sum TLC, sat under a tree for a year, the guy who previously owed her said it had a fuel float problem, which ended up being a removed exup vane...hours of pain later

My special thanks to you guys, the team of FZR250.com past and present in which without your help I would hav given up months ago...
