Hi guys, first time posting here.

I'm wanting to buy an FZR250, but it all seems very daunting. I've been riding for around 8 months now, but recently wrote off my Honda VT250FJ so i'm in the market for a new bike.

Are there any problems I should be aware of with these bikes? My price range is up to $3000 with RWC and reg. I've seen a few around for just over this, but I'd like to know what to look out for before I go spending money.

    Thanks in advance guys.

hi there N20, bought my bike 3 months ago, I was like you, had a budget of about $3000. Try and look at the bike in the day time, its makes it easier to check for things. Check brakes, u can see the pads if u look close, or just take off the black plastic plate on the calipers. Make sure it idles fine, they're are getting old now, so dont worry if u have to use the choke to start it. Check for fairing damage, check tyre wear. Those things are good to check if it doesnt come with a roadworthy. Dont worry about squeaky suspension, thats an easy fix. Just general condition of the bike really. I got mine on the road for with rego and RWC for $3200. and thats a 3LN1 model. Original condition 32,000kms.

So, there's nothign really commonly wrong with them?
I'm looking in the k range of <30,000
My last bike was bought at 62,000 and had no problems though.

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes ot bike shopping.

I'm planning to buy with RWC and reg.

Nah generally a good bike without major problems. If ur buying with RWC then u shouldnt have any problems, all though when i took mine for roadworthy he got me to turn on my lights and blinkers and horn and that was it, he didnt really check it, took him all of 2 mins.
