    hey guys

after stuffing around with my carbs over the past month or so, i finally got it idling at what i thought was almost normal. i took it for a ride during the week and it was running fine until about 10 minutes into the ride, when i would be slowing down at an intersection or roundabout, it would start to behave like i was running out of fuel. those of your that regularly test the limits of the fuel tank would know what i mean.

if i kept the revs up, it was fine, but slow down and it would threaten to cut out.... in the end i had to come to a complete stop somewhere and it just died. does this sound like a fuel line blockage? or just more general carb problems? i'm probably going to take it to the shop to get professionally looked at but thought i'd ask the brains-trust first.

    your thoughts?

    cheers

Sounds like it's running on a VERY lean idle. I say this because if your needles and jets are worn then you'll have tuned to compensate for the excess amount of fuel being delivered in the midrange by reducing the fuel supplied by the pilot jets.

What settings have you got the pilot jets currently at as they're meant to be approximately 3 turns out.
