Hi everyone,

Im new to the fzr250, I just picked one up a while ago. It's a great bike to ride, but after further inspection, I have come across a few things that need to be done. Since I live in Canada, this bike is a grey import, and there are no places to get parts. Things I need are; clutch fibers, air filter, an exup assembely (not the valve itself, only the box where the cables go to) and a front brake rotor (if anyone has a slightly used one lying around because my is warped)

For the clutch fibers, I am looking for new. So if anyone has some around, or knows a good internet supplier that would be helpful.

Thanks
Aaron

[edit] sorry I forgot to mention, I have a 1989 2kr w/exup (single front rotor, no deltabox)

Any Yamaha dealer should be able to order in the parts for you, even if it's a grey import. If they're refusing, just contact Yamaha and ask them if they should be able to get the parts. If Yamaha agrees that they should be able to import the parts, then report them and let Yamaha take care of it.

Last time I checked there was a brake rotor for sale on eBay (they were asking $300 - but if it's still there then they might be happy to part with it for less, cause it's been there a while).

Falcon, you work at RMS right? just head to yamaha next door But I doubt they will be able to help you b/c I tried. I had better luck buying stuff online then trying to deal with dealers and local grey import shops.

If you plan on keeping the bike for a while, it'll be worth it to get new rotor, I have ordered through ebay, 1 set didn't fit so I have to resell them, and the other set warped after a few rides. EBC catelog has them listed.

go to www.uniflow.com.au for air filter, reusable and cost the same as getting one from yamaha/import Shop.

hey bombermax... ya that's me form bcsportbikes. I'm planning on rebuilding my engine this winter, with the help of a mechanic friend. But for now I really need a cluch fiber set. I've already went by Pacific, and they said it is too much hassle for them to import a single item. Thanks for that website, my air filter really needs to be replaced, hopefully it won't run so rich with a new (clean) one.
