    How many KM does your bike have on the clock. I am wondering at how long these thing last on average, so everybody please reply.

    Mine is at 52,000

    EDIT: It had 44,000 when I bought it. It does not use oil between services either.

    this may sound like a stpuid question <!-- s:oops: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_redface.gif" alt=":oops:" title="Embarassed" /><!-- s:oops: -->
    but how can you determine the engine life from bikes that are still
    runing?

    mine has about 52,000kms

    i guess all you can tell is what the average fzr has on the clock so if youre under the average, you can reasonably expect a bit more life

    No question is ever stupid. I am interested to see if for example a lot die at 30-40k or whether there are many still running at 75k or 150k.

    It's just curiosity. I see a few bigger bikes for sale with over 100k on the clocks and been told that they would prob be still in good nick.

    It seems that if i an inline 4 250 is meticulously maintained it should have no problems reaching 100,000km's. The problem is that as recycled learner machines go, they tend to suffer a bit of neglect and as such i'd say the average motor life is ~60,000km's. You can abuse and engine and reduce it's effective life to as little as 40,000km's through lack of maintanence and rough riding, or you can ride it enthusiastically and maintain it well and get 80,000km's.

    lol good luck tryin to find a fizzer with over 100k on the clock. Clock only goes to 99,999 then back to 0, so might be a bit hard to determine if a bike actually lasts that long

    btw mine is at 62k and goin strong

    Around 42000 off the top of my head. Only the emulsion tubes have been replaced, at 34000 I think.

    88 xxx on the clock and then blew out the bottom end... oh and the top end at the same time (edit: dah) so thats the life time of my little fizzers engine. Im now working my way to replacing the engine from a 2kr exup, so should be on the road again in a month. happy fizzing.

    Ooooh, Im coming second on just over 80k. Although the guy I bought it off replaced the cluster, he thinks its a few thousand k's under the reading on the speedo.

    Got it back yesturday from my first service and the mechanic is pretty impressed with its condition, he reckons its going strong.

    My bike (3ln) has travelled 52000 km's and runs fine. Does not burn oil or rattle. When I bought the bike it was a bit of **** box, but time and a steady hand have turned it into an enjoyable little pocket rocket.
