Hi, new to site. VERY useful.

I have a 1988 2kr and was going to change the fork oil. I have read several helpful posts on the topic. I know how to drain the oil, and the amount to replace, BUT......., I for the life of me can't figure out where to add the replacement oil.

I can't figure out how to remove the ends of the forks to add it ( If thats where it goes). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. <!-- s:???: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt=":???:" title="Confused" /><!-- s:???: -->

Take the rubber bungs out of the top. Hang the bike by the bars from the roof. Get a 1/2" socket extension bar and put the big end in the top of the fork, give the extension a hit with a hammer to loosen it up. Then press down the extension with all your weight and remove the circlip/retainer. The cap should pop out with the spring pressure.

I found a wreckers that replaced my seals and oil for $50...(parts supplied by me) and for the time involved found it a much better prospect..
All I had to do was take the forks out

That sounds reasonable for the amount of time and effort it took me to replace one seal
