hey just letting everyone know that i did my Ps test today i did it on the fzr i only got 4 points i think is is great since my brother did it today aswell and he did it on a rent bike hey got him self 3 points and some people on rent bikes didnt even pass just for the people that dont know anything under 8 points is a pass
Great stuff - It is always good to get though that.. When I went for my test I took my son's GPX250 as it was a little more friendly at low speed, and there was one bloke riding an Across (Suzuki equivelent to FZR). Every one passed except for a young girl who was riding a ZZR250 and it was her second time at the test.
The ZZR is terrible for turning, did she fail because she couldn't turn around in the alocated area? On another note, Great Job on getting you P's. When I got mine I used an old GSX250, an oldie but a goodie...
good work getting your p's! what do you guys actually have to do to get em? sounds like the tests are alot more challenging than the one i did...
Congrats man! The P's test includes 8 different courses that have weaving, braking, swerving and a ride around the streets.
When you learn to ride it at slow speed, you will find it's not so bad, but it is not as good as a dirt bike or something less sports orientated, if that is what you are comparing it to. The FZR has a better turning circle than my SV by about a metre.
I think I can do it in that, but what does it matter once you have your licence, you can always pull over and wait for traffic if its too tight.

I will have to try that tip some time
congrats on getting your P's rear braking i frequently use when im doing u-turns, i find that the clutch for the fizzer is rather high and can't adjust it, so ill have to accomodate myself FOR the bike (sheesh) when im doin slow turns, u turns or slow manouvers
they tought us to use our rear brake for cornering and uturns when passing our learners. thought everybody did it.
My test consisted of two rides up and down the road, doing a u-turn at both ends. I road beside the rta guy as he walked for doing our slow riding test.....Took me 10mins. and I passed...I loved growing up in the country.. I guess theres not much need to learn about the rear brake at slow speeds when I could do the u-turn...
