Why do I ever pull things apart?

    I just pulled my throttle cable out cause I was finding it scratchy and sticky when taking off. I found that the damn thing is fraided really badly, neally broken...Not my day I say!

    Well... at least you know it needs replacing now!

    How much does it usually cost to get a replacement?

    GOt a bran new yamaha one for $41.90... will be in the store on thursday....Yipee......Car broke down on the way to order....Bummer...at least the bike should be back on the road soon.     your jsut luck you wernt out in the sticks somewhere punching it in 2nd...next thing you know cable snaps.. you nealy go over the bars and you have to call a mate to come pick you and the bike up with a trailer

    There's 2 throttle cables in there for a reason. Just get your tool kit out and rig it up so you can still operate the throttle. It won't be perfect but it'll be enough to get you home!

    The 2KR only has one cable, found out when they tried to sell me two and only one came of my bike. They checked and found that the 3ln had two but 2kr had one.

    Well i learnt something today! Never had to pull apart a 2KR throttle assembly but even on the old Yamaha SRX250 i pulled apart on the side of the road it had two cables and the throttle housing looked identical to the 2KR.

    Cable is fixed, man it is smooth now... I like it!
