    LOL!
You had me worried that my one of a kind was not so one of a kind anymore... until i saw the mirrors, the exhaust, and every little detail matched my FZR1000 before it's respray.

Pretty good photochop i must admit!

The conical section of the exhaust just before the muffler gives the 1000 away every time for me.

Both very good examples of their respective models.

That's actually an aftermarket pipe made by Manta Engineering in Melbourne. They make exhaust and turbo systems for drag cars and the occasional bike. That said the original pipe does look similar but it's baffled and quite a bit more restrictive.

Which reminds me... since i got the Yoshi TRS on my bike i've got that exhaust sitting in storage, so if anyone wants it for their bike or a project then gimme a shout out.

Yourself having owned both a 250 and a 1000, is it feasible to convert the tailend of the 250 (3ln3) to the same as that 1000?

    Thanks

To be honest i'd say no. The tail on my FZR1000 is from a 2003 CBR954 Fireblade which is substantially wider than the FZR250. There is however a decent chance of getting a CBR600RR tail fairing (~04+) to fit as they're approximately the same width.

Koma, what do you think a tail conversion would cost in time and $ DIY?
I love my bike but the tail end could use some jazzing up if you know what i mean.

I'd recommend just hunting around for some slightly beaten up plastics and a matching subframe. If you can find an ~'04 CBR600RR or whatever the donor bike of choice is that's run up the back of a car or into something solid so it's completely destroyed it's front end then your likely to be able to get the tail section for pretty cheap.
If you wait and pick something up cheap then i'd say you could do it for as little as...
    $50-80 for the tail plastics
$50-100 for the brake light and indicators
$100 for the subframe if its in perfect condition.

After that it's just a matter of making up a set of mounting brackets to adapt the new subframe to your bikes frame and hoping that you haven't warped it so you can still get the plastics on.

i have an 04 600RR and a fzr 400 you have no chance fitting the rear of the 600RR to a fzr 250 it's just way to big

I got it resprayed because i had always intended on changing it to either a blue, black or silver. When the time came i had a thing for the 'liquid silver' colour on the 2003 R1 and so i had it done. Also at the same time i had a new exhaust fitted, and did a bit of work on a couple of other items so by the time she was back on the road it was like riding a brand new bike!

I love those looks after the spray. I might have bought that bike if I was from AUS. Very nice bike.
