Clutch problems??

    hi im new here i have a 89 3ln and when i start it up when the engine is cold it has a rattly/knocking noise coming from the engine but if i engage the clutch it goes release and it comes back and once the engine has wormed up it is not there either was wondering if this is a problem or something that is common cheers

    ah dude i guess ur telling that when u press the clutch ur engine sound more calm when u release the clutch u hear a little rattle sound like the engine sound is a little bit less calm if its differ a litle bit its normal thing most fzr do that but if a very noise rattle no its not normal

    It sounds like that you have a few noisey gears rattling around in the gearbox when it is cold. Dis-engaging the clutch stops them from rotating and therefore they stop rattling. It is not uncommon and nothing to serious..

    i got the same thing happening with my bike

    but it does it hot or cold

    it's just the clutch basket, nothing to worry about most bikes make that sort of noise.
