its nice prity nasty tank damage though but if you can live with that there a nice bike to have and you'd look at paying about 3500 for a good one so maybe you should umm and arr about that price see if you can get it lower

but i dont know for myself i couldnt live with the tank damage!!!!

I thought Casso must have re vinaled with R2 decals for a second! Until I saw the wheels weren't powder coated anyway.

The tank isn’t fixable but a second hand one painted up will be less than $500. If it is running well and the k's are for real then it sounds like a reasonable price.

I'm not sure i get it tho. You sent it to Melbourne to get fixed but you don’t own it?

It's only a tank cover, so can be taken off and panel beated back out, maybe if done well, wont even have to re-spray...

    Looks like a nice bike.

Nope, if thats the bike in the OP photo that your referring to it looks to be a 3LN1 which does NOT have a tank cover. The section that has the dent is actually part of the main fuel tank. That said it is possible to remove the top fuel cap and with the right tools, pop the majority of that dent out then bog over the rest. It will definitely need to be repainted though.

... but that'd be easy! I thought we were going for cheapest possible backyard mechanics solution to the problem. After all a tank will set you back ~$150-300 at a wrecker and then you've gotta hope its in the right colour, or a thing of auto-bog will cost you ~$15.
