How many gears should i have?

    Hi how many gears should my fzr250 have?

    1986 fzr 250 import,

    Its just every where i read says i should have 6 gears and i only have 1 down 4 up?

    Yea you should have 6 gears.

    1 down, 5 up.

    Well this one certainly takes my 'what in the weird' award for today!
    The FZR1000 has a 5 speed gearbox (1 down, 4 up), but as far as i'm aware all of the FZR250's had 6 speed sets (1 down, 5 up).
    Sure your not just getting carried away and skipping a gear? Any rough noises in the gearbox to suggest you might accidentally by jumping a gear?

    I'll compound the issue there Koma, I have 6 in my 1000.... snerk...
