Hey guys, I was involved in an accident 2 weeks ago. Im ok, thanks for asking, and no it wasnt my fault. The insurance company has just written the bike off and payed me out. Im almost ready for a bigger bike anyway, so im looking at parting my bike out. Ill list the damaged parts first, and that way u can ask about any other u need. Engine still runs perfectly (starts fine and runs great) Valve clearances and carbies done about 6 months ago and new throttle cable. Slight scratched on the LHS engine cover. The entire front cowl is no more, (mirrors are fine though not sure how) LHS front fairing its fiberglass and maybe repairable, doesnt look like it though RHF fairing is cracked through on the thin bit towards the back - repairable for sure Carbon fibre muffler split through side, pushed against swingarm. LHS headlight is loose - has 1 broken bracket, RHS is fine. This is very easy to repair if i wanted to, but i might as well put money towards a bigger bike. This is a very fast bike, wheels are fine, it has new tyres, fitted maybe 1500km ago, still has nipples on the sides. the bike had only done 22,000kms, all original parts except the RHF fairing (fibreglass) and indicators(see below) Frame is not bent, forks are good, brakes, rotors all fine. Rear indicators good (aftermarket clear lens, orange bulbs) pillion seat tore during crash, not sure how. Tank is fine, no dents, little paint missing near the petrol lid(not due to accident) rear fairings fine, 1 or 2 lugs broken under pillion seat due to shock of accident, but sit fine on bike, cant tell from outside. Main seat is fine, 1 minor tear, 7 mm long, maybe 3 mm wide. All and all was a great bike, still is if i wanted too. Sad to see it go, i did love it and took great care of it, everyone said it was a great looking bike, been on many fun rides down the great ocean road, always had bigger riders say theyd never seen a 250 go that fast. Let me know guys, pm me or email sdocks@bigpond.net.au I will post photos hopefully by the week end if i have time, if not i can get my wife to take them. Thanks in advance, they didnt give me much, so please try to rip me off.
